At PLAI our passion and commitment to sport runs deeper than our clients alone. We offer success manager roles to full time and part time athletes and coaches to subsidise their income from sport.

They help us to identify new sports clubs in need of support, deliver product demonstrations and most importantly, build deeply personal relationships with the clubs they manage on PLAI.

“Our mission is a simple one really, we seek to positively impact community sport on a global scale. By offering roles to full time & part time professional athletes, we can help them to subsidise their income in a flexible way whilst developing skills that’ll be transferrable into careers beyond high performance sport shared Scott McKechnie, CEO at PLAI.

We are delighted to announce today the joining of Lewis Walter, Shane Getkate and Anshuman Rath!

Lewis Walter is a rising talent in women’s football. After quickly progressing as a coach at Charlton Athletic, he recently landed a job with prestigious WSL side Brighton and Hove Albion in their academy. Lewis’ local knowledge of grass-roots football in the Kent & London area makes him an incredible asset for those communities, utilising the broad PLAI feature-set.

Shane Getkate is a South African-born Irish cricketer, currently playing in Northern Ireland. Domestically he made his Twenty20 cricket debut for the Northern Knights in the 2017 and in 2019 he was one of five cricketers to be awarded with an Emerging Player Contract by Cricket Ireland. Internationally he was named in Ireland’s Twenty20 International Squad for the Oman Quadrangular series before making the 2019 and 2021 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier squads. Shane’s impact within Northern Ireland will be pivotal in raising awareness of PLAI to local cricket clubs in the region.

Scott continued, “Lewis, Shane and Anshuman are all extremely high performing individuals in their respective fields and we are just so delighted that they can see the power of the work that we’re doing within community sport”.

Anshuman Rath is a Hong Kong cricketer with an illustrious international career. He made his ODI debut for Hong Kong in 2014 against Australia and by 2018 went on the captain the side. In the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two he was the leading run-scorer with 290 runs in six matches. Anshuman’s knowledge of cricket across Asia, particularly within developing nations, will be instrumental to PLAI’s global impact.
